Beyond the cosy Old West, you automatically enter the New West. In this lively neighbourhood you will find a funny mix between stately avenues and leafy canals and hip, multicultural entrepreneurship. You'll meet it all as you meander back and forth through the long streets. If you cross the river Schie, you enter the old Merwe-Vierhavens via Spangen and Bospolder-Tussendijken (BoTu). This former port area still hosts port transhipment, but in between has made way for the growth of sustainable and innovative start-ups.
