Don't feel like shopping in the crowds at the Duomo? Corso Vercelli is an excellent alternative.
As a lover of architecture and parks, this is the place to be. This district has traditionally been one of Milan's most sought-after and therefore most expensive areas, known for its beautiful old buildings and hidden gardens. Especially around Piazza Wagner are many small cafés and boutiques. On Corso Magenta you will find important monuments related to Leonardo da Vinci and his contemporaries. This street is also home to the Museo Archeologico. On the border with the city centre stands the imposing Castello Sforzesco. Via the back entrance you reach Parco Sempione, a large park with nature, cafés and art. On the other side is the Arco della Pace.
