Inside, the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière is richly decorated with gold and mosaics and Musée Lugdunum has an extraordinary collection of Roman excavations, depicting life around the beginning of the era. The two open-air theatres (free to visit) are well intact and an experience in themselves. You can also enjoy breathtaking views in several places, such as the Jardin des Curiosités.
