If you're looking for a versatile and lively neighbourhood, St. Georg is ideal. To get to St. Georg, you have to pass through a less attractive part of Hamburg around the Hauptbahnhof. But do so, because this multicultural district is well worth your visit. St Georg's main street is Lange Reihe. It is never boring here, and you will find many cafés, restaurants, galleries and shops. You'll find many more of these in the side streets. If it gets a bit too busy for you, you can find the peace and quiet of the water and have a drink on the Außenalster or take a boat trip.
